SGU's “Women in Golf” Charter

Caldwell Golf Club is delighted to participate in and promote Scottish Golf’s new “Women in Golf” Charter which is aimed at increasing the number of women and girls participating in golf. Our commitment to the Charter is demonstrated by;

  • In 2017 we had our first ever Lady member Captain of the Club, Mrs Alison Anderson,
  • We have two lady members on the Board of the Club,
  • 50% of our Club’s Management Team of four are ladies and they also attend our Board Meetings,
  • We already run some mixed Ladies and Gents competitions and are looking to add more to the fixture list next season,
  • Our Ladies have their own dedicated section on our website and they also feature prominently on the Club’s news,
  • We run group coaching for lady members and also beginner coaching for ladies who are showing an interest in golf but have never tried it,
  • In 2019 we introduced a Family Membership category to encourage families to join and play together as well as within the different sections they are part of,

We are confident that continuing with our commitment to follow Scottish Golf’s new “Women in Golf” Charter will make a significant contribution to enhancing Caldwell Golf Club in the future.
